What Visa is
Visa debit and credit cards are accepted by most online casino cashiers for deposits. You enter the card number, expiry date and security code, and the payment is authorised by your card issuer, often with an extra confirmation in your banking app.
Whether the payment goes through is the issuer's decision. Some Canadian card issuers decline gambling transactions, particularly on credit cards, and others treat them as cash advances with their own charges.
A Visa debit card is the simplest way to make a single small deposit, as long as your issuer allows the transaction.
How to deposit with Visa
- In the casino cashier, choose Visa and enter the amount.
- Enter the card number, expiry date and security code. Use a card in your own name.
- Confirm the payment in your banking app if the issuer asks for it.
- Check that the deposit appears in the casino balance and on your card statement.

Things to check before using Visa

Can I use a Visa gift card at an online casino?
Some cashiers accept prepaid or gift Visa cards for deposits; many do not, and a gift card cannot receive a payout. Check the cashier and plan another method for withdrawals.
Why was my Visa casino deposit declined?
Most often the card issuer blocks gambling transactions, the amount is below the cashier minimum, or the card is not in the account holder's name. Your bank can confirm whether it blocks gambling merchants.
